Depakote and hopefully a return to life.
I'm not doing well right now, kiddos.

I've been in a mixed episode for over a week now, and it is sucking me dry. Today I got in to see my medlady and she wrote me for depakote, and squeezed me in next week so we can see how it's going.

It has to go well. This is far too hard.

Depakote? What are they prescribing that for you?

I was on it for five years for epilepsy and hated it. =[

Side effects didn't do me well, but definately helped with my epilepsy =]

I also didn't like Depakote--it made me tremble badly. But bipolar is a condition that what doesn't work well for one strangely enough will work well for another. I wish you luck. Love you, Kid!

My med lady has me on Depakote 250 mg with a cut dose of Lamictal while I get rid of the prednisone my internist prescribed for last week. I've been alternately on and off it, but I think it was a good idea to go back on it. I've been on a higher level of anxiety than ususal, and the dose tonight seems to have helped me relax. Since I didn't get any sleep till 4 am last night (reading a good book--not on the computer!) then I'm looking forward to good sleep.
